Lead Apron (Strap Type)

A lead apron is a type of protective garment commonly used in medical settings to shield the body from harmful radiation during diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, or fluoroscopy. The lead apron is designed to absorb and block radiation, protecting vital organs and tissues from unnecessary exposure. The strap type lead apron refers to the way the apron is secured around the body. Instead of being a one-piece garment, it consists of two separate parts: the lead apron itself and a set of adjustable straps. The apron is typically made of a lead-impregnated material, often lead vinyl or lead rubber, which provides the necessary radiation shielding.

The straps of a lead apron are usually made of durable fabric and are attached to the top corners of the apron. They can be adjusted to fit the wearer securely, ensuring that the apron remains in the proper position during the procedure. The straps are usually fastened using buckles, Velcro, or a similar mechanism to keep the apron securely in place.
