Bain Circuit (Adult)

The Bain circuit, also known as the Bain breathing system or the Bain coaxial circuit, is a type of breathing circuit used in anesthesia to deliver anesthetic gases to a patient and remove exhaled carbon dioxide. It is primarily used for adult patients during general anesthesia.

The design of the Bain circuit consists of an inner tube and an outer tube. The inner tube carries fresh gas flow from the anesthesia machine to the patient, while the outer tube carries exhaled gases from the patient to the scavenging system. The inner tube is located inside the outer tube, creating a coaxial arrangement.

  • Bain Circuit offered comprises co-axial modification of basic T-piece system which has been developed for facilitating scavenging of waste anesthetic gases.
  • As a tube carrying fresh gas, it travels inside outer reservoir tube to endotracheal tube connector.
  • The process includes patient inspiring fresh gas from the outer reservoir tube and expiring into reservoir tube.
  • Supplied in a Pouch
