The design of the Bain circuit consists of an inner tube and an outer tube. The inner tube carries fresh gas flow from the anesthesia machine to the patient, while the outer tube carries exhaled gases from the patient to the scavenging system. The inner tube is located inside the outer tube, creating a coaxial arrangement.
